Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information and Updates
SUMMER 2020 QUARTER
Our campus remains open but ONLY remotely, and we remain available via phone (703) 663-8088, online, or email from 9 AM to 6 PM Monday-Friday.
To help keep everyone safe, CalUMS-VA migrated all classes online earlier this quarter. Your safety and well-being continue to be our top priority as we navigate these difficult times. We are closely monitoring the latest COVID-19 guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as state and federal guidelines and are undertaking measures to help safeguard the health of our students, faculty, and staff.
With the continuing spread of the novel coronavirus, all classes continue to be taught online until at least August 31, 2020. Consistent with the current recommendations of public health authorities, the goal of this measure is to minimize the need to gather in large groups and spend prolonged time in close proximity with each other in our classrooms to limit the potential exposure to, and spread of, COVID-19.
Please check your email daily for updates and contact your instructors if you have any questions or concerns regarding your classes.
During these unprecedented times, many of us are learning to cope with unusual situations. Kids are home from school, businesses are closed, many people are working from home, and some are being directly impacted by COVID-19 illness. We appreciate your dedication to continuing your online classes.
Finally, please note that CalUMS-VA is not closed. While there are no facilities open on-site, CalUMS-VA remains open to serve you through remote learning and services; our business processes continue. We are available to support you via email or phone during normal operating hours. Please let us know if we can help.
We encourage you to visit the CDC’s website for the most up-to-date information available.
Should you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
Please stay safe and healthy!
